In operation since 1999, our regular program is in full swing!  Open Arms offers quality child daycare in a nurturing, developmentally stimulating environment while maintain highly competitive fees.

A visit to tour our facilities is possible at this time by contacting the Center at (330) 535-1433 to make an appointment.   We enroll children at all times of the year.  Our staff looks forward to the opportunity to show you what we have to offer.

Open Arms now offers Before and After School care for children up to age 10. Unfortunately, you must provide transportation for your child to and from their school as we do not provide transporation.

The Open Arms Summer School program is currently being developed. Contact the Center's office for addtional information or to express interest in this program. Our Summer Camp program was a great success last year and we are looking forward to another fun-filled summer of Christian Education, field trips, and fellowship!

At Open Arms we:

  - Maintain full State of Ohio licensure with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services
  - Employ a certified and well-trained teaching staff who maintain continuing education
  - Teach a structured Christian-based preschool curriculum
  - Offer a caring and well-equipped environment - much more than custodial care
  - Have a view that your child is unique and special child of God, encouraging individuality and promoting self esteem
  - Prepare nutritious meals and snacks in our own licensed kitchen by our own chef
  - Maintain a fully-secured facility

Open Arms is conveniently located at Concordia Lutheran Church, 724 Sumner Street in Akron, Ohio.  Exit Interstate 76 at Grant Street (Wolf Ledges) and proceed north to the first street, Voris Street, and head east two blocks to the corner of Voris and Sumner.  Our church can be seen from I-76.

  - Just 2 minutes south of the University of Akron campus
  - Just 5 minutes from most Downtown locations
  - Just 2 blocks off Interstate 76
  - Just 1 exit west of State Route 8

Our facility includes covered drop-off and plenty of monitored parking.
